April 23, 2008:
Jeff's double CD of his solo songs and Outer Limits offerings is
now available! Please make sure you review the product on www.amazon.com
or www.play.com,
as they help to spread the word about this great release!!
April 14, 2008:
To coincide with the release of the Outer Limits CD, here's
an article about their tour with Jimi Hendrix in 1967.
March 30, 2008:
Only a week to go till the Outer Limits/Jeff Christie set is released.
While you're counting the days, you can read what
Jeff said when he was interviewed for the Lost 45s radio show
in the US.
March 19, 2008:
To those of you who celebrate Easter, may the good bunny bring you
plenty of eggs!
This week we feature a quick interview with the elusive
Lem Lubin, who I'm sure we would
all be delighted to know is alive, well and happy.
March 11, 2008:
Part of the early Christie stage repertoire included a couple of
Jimi Hendrix songs performed by Vic. Plans are now underway for
Vic to record an album of Hendrix covers, so stay tuned for that.
Meanwhile, the song of the week is I'll Never
Stop Rock and Rolling, a new song by Vic to be featured in
a forthcoming TV special on the legendary Star Club in Germany.
The song will later be included in a new album which feature more
of Vic's songs.
March 1, 2008:
A lot of you have written in to say how excited you are at the forthcoming
release of the Outer Limits/Jeff Christie CDs. Remember to buy lots
of copies!
And here's a sign
of the times .. how much would you have paid to go and see Christie
perform back when they were most famous, at the time when Yellow
River and San Bernadino were
in the charts?
February
19, 2008:
As previously mentioned, a CD of Outer Limits songs will be available
soon, and we can confirm that the release date is set at April 8.
The songs are still being remastered and remixed, so hopefully the
deadline will be met.
The disc will be accompanied by a CD of Jeff's solo
songs, mainly all the tracks from his first album which unfortunately
got pulled from the shelves when the recording company closed down.
So now Christie fans can finally get their hands on what Jeff considers
some of his best ever work. As a treat, there are also some bonus
tracks from another solo recording session.
February 9, 2008:
Long-time Christie fan Michael Walker sent us some pics
of Christie performing in 1970 .. back when Michael Blakley
was still drummer. And make sure you check out the demo
version of Jo Jo's Band.
January 27, 2008:
After a month-long break, we're back, with the news that 2008 looks
to be a very interesting year for Jeff Christie! There are a couple
of very exciting projects in the pipeline, including a scheduled
CD release of all the songs that The Outer Limits recorded, all
remastered and sounding just great!
One of the tracks featured will no doubt be this week's featured
song, Tomorrow Night, which was the
song Jeff intended to give to the Tremeloes to record. But as fate
would have had it, the tape recorder played the wrong song, which
turned out to be Yellow River. The
rest is history!
Also this week, the extremely rare video of the Christie
San Bernadino clip shot in a German castle has been uploaded onto
YouTube. It's not
complete, so if anyone has a version of this funny video in its
entirety, please get in touch with me.
Speaking of YouTube, there's been great feedback on
all the various Christie videos on the Christie channel. If you
haven't been there lately, you should check them out.
Of course, you can also provide feedback to this site
.. we continue to include your comments here,
and rest assured Jeff reads every one, and often replies
to them.
December 19, 2007:
Merry Christmas to all the loyal Christie fans out there. Thanks
for all your support and fan messages over the year and we hope
to see you back again in 2008. We will be heading for a short break
over the holiday period, but will be back with more interesting
articles and features in January. Stay safe.
Don't forget to keep playing the
Christie jukebox.
December

from Jeff's Hamburg performance have been posted.
October 29, 2007:
Before the Russian Billboard

magazine: Music Box.
October 20, 2007:
Yellow River is one of many great 70s
pop songs featured in a play about the glam rock days. Read more
here.
October 13, 2007:
Thanks to fan Antonie, we have pictures to share of her visit to
the Sopot festival in Poland .. where
Christie played in 1970, and in doing so created history.

New Guinea!
October 6, 2007:
By popular request, I have listed the
goodies you can find if you spot the Martian Kings on this site
.. but you still need to do the hard work and look for them.
Also, starting this week, I'll review all the Jeff
Christie songs we've been featuring over the past few months ..
this will also be an ongoing process as new songs get featured each
week or so. See here.
