Yellow River/San Bernadino/Iron Horse (J Christie)

In the early 1980s, Jeff was asked to re-record his three big hits for K-Tel Records, as it had planned to include the songs on its many compilations throughout the world. Jeff's new versions are all slightly different from the originals: Yellow River and San Bernadino both come to complete stops at the end of the songs (rather than fading off), while the "new" Iron Horse is recorded at a slightly slower tempo, and with greater diction.
The songs were licensed by K-Tel to other labels, and today you can find these new recordings on several different compilations of hits from the 70s.
In 1992, Jeff reformed Christie with the Tubeless Hearts band to perform live on stage. They also released a new version of San Bernadino on a CD called the Absence of Time.
